I tell you what...ya'll have done a great job of getting this ole 914 cleaned up...
It looks GREAT!!! Get with Michael on the carbs.... a good rebuild on the Webers will help immensely with those emission test numbers. And for those worried about this young fellow driving it to school...don't....there's no back seat and you can only take one other person with you...fewer teens in the car means less trouble. Good luck on this project! |

My thoughts on him using it to get to school were that the good brakes and good handling would help him avoid accidents, relatively low power from a carbed 1.7 will keep him from going too fast, too soon, and having just one other seat means he can't fill it up with a bunch of knuckleheads who want him to do something stupid. |
