I would get one from Aase Sales....
https://www.aasesales.com/products/h2i-f00-...570e1&_ss=r

Original orange bar crests are either in horrible shape and still expensive, or if in nice shape, exceptionally expensive.

I think $95 for a new one is not a bad deal.

Check with Sunset Porsche & Suncoast Porsche online parts websites, since they have discounts off the full Porsche Classic price for new.

You want the 60's to 73 MY version for the Orange bars.

Here's Suncoast that I was just looking at, & you'll want to get the gasket/seal & speed nuts kit too -

https://www.suncoastparts.com/product/crestemblem.html

https://www.suncoastparts.com/product/PKGASKET9X.html

PS - these are currently not on sale, but if you sign up for the Sunset & Suncoast emails, then you'll get notice of sales & discounts - if you can wait.

PSS - If not, the AASE discount looks good for now, but Sunset may also have a deal, so check them.

Sunset has them in stock but they are $155....so Aase at $95 is by far the better deal.
Weird, usually Sunset has killer prices on factory Porsche parts.

Suncoast as well is $155 when you add the $50 adder.

Might be the way to go but I wouldn't mind some patina to go with the rest of the car.

Nothing wrong with that.
Here's your issue....they are out there, but not cheap.
Hopefully you can find one that suits your needs.

Here's one for sale on Early 911 S Registry for $400.

http://www.early911sregistry.org/forums/sh...od-Crest-Emblem

Or a number of them on eBay for between $375-$650.

Patina: Buy a new orange bar version, then lightly sprinkle aircraft paint remover on it. Wash it, then heavily scuff it with steel wool.
