Wanted to share this interesting moment when I was working inside the cabin.

A 1975 penny hidden underneath the carpeting of my 1975 914.

Nice find! For sport, I sift my pocket change looking for pre-1982 pennies.

Keep it - pre-1982 copper pennies are the only coins left in circulation actually worth more than face value. The nickel is close to par but hasn't tipped over $0.05 yet. The day is coming. Pre-1964 silver is worth more of course, but it's been over two decades since I found silver coinage in my pocket change.

New pennies are garbage zinc with a light plating of copper.
