1975, repaired. To be fair to the car, it only needed a battery tray and a engine gasket mount section, close to the battery.

It may not qualify as 'perfect' but here's my 914-6 before engine going back in (very hard to capture this area once the car is batteried up and assembled.)

The little dots and wire are for the fuel pump. I just had them hanging there prior to reinstalling pump.

This seam has always bothered me.. I know it's stock but would it not benefit from a smear of seam sealer ? (I'll be doing a HH reconstruction on my car soon, too).

I plan on using a 4 pound lithium battery so may not bother with the tray at all.

As far as I can tell this hell hole is all original complete with battery tray. Still has the drain hole. Sorry for the dusty condition this was taken during assembly. It's what you except to find with an Arizona car taken to Ohio and sets in barn for the next 23 years. Original seam sealer too.

@mepstein

Be careful with the Lithium ion battery. Do your research, charge carefully & with charger designed for Li-ion. All Li-ion are a fire risk, especially so if they don't have a built in battery management system (BMS).

Used plenty on race cars but they haven't made prime time on automotive for good reason. Obviously, excluding EV's which have a dedicated BMS and yet EV's still go up every now and again, along with cell phones, Laptops, Vaping devices, etc.

Also be aware that Li-ion doesn't like to be stored at full charge for extended periods. Preferred storage is at 50% state of charge.
