I have no idea if this breaks the rules and I read them but here's the link to another site that has the car listed. If it is please someone, let me know and I will recreate it here as well.

Thanks,

That looks and sounds like a nice '73 2.0. Needs some work but don't they all? Price seems in the ballpark too. I wish the seller would post all of the pictures we all want to see. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

Shoot..... your 2 hours + North. Come on down and check it from tip to tail and let me tell you, I have the best "test drive" area in California in my back yard. Anyone who drives up from Southern California to Laguna Seca knows the back way into Carmel Valley.

BTW..... what pics are you interested in? I have already got one request for the hell hole area and bottom of car which I need to do but my knee is bothering me today...have Dr. appointment tomorrow. Hoping to hell it's not arthritis.

Here's what it looked like the day I brought it home. Had boxes and boxes of parts. You can see the blue, black and original white. Used a dustless blaster company out of Fresno to take it to bare metal. Attached Image

Can't completely see it but you can see the 1/2 floor (rear) replacement.

The car has sold and going to France. Super nice guy and Porsche enthusiast so I couldn't be happier. Will be moving away from my old friend (the 914) after owning 5 of them over the years. Still wish I had that 71 sixer that I see bringing huge dollars for but air conditioning and long tours with my wife now will be in a Cayman. On a side note.... don't let anyone tell you that your 914's are not doing anything but going up in value. A got a couple less than cordial messages on eBay where the car was also listed with a buy it now, were I was getting worked over for the amount. No, just aware that 914's have been on the rise and one hell of a car with values only continuing upward.

I would also like to say thank you to the entire community but especially to Big Al at PartsHeaven, Criss at Tangerine Racing who makes the best damn stuff on the planet AND stands behind it and is more than generous with his time, George who has always helped me out with parts and information along the way. The amount of information I have been able to gather both here and on other forums has been amazing. Will still lurk and enjoy and who knows what the future might bring.
