Both headlight motors run, and both have mangled leads (plus lots of PO undercoat spare crud).

Finally, the fresh air blower. It blows.

Methinks this is not original to the car. I wonder if $50 was a good deal?

And finally, I sorted through the aluminum trim. What came off the car has custom PO black paint.

The PO did such a good job, and lightly sanded all the original trim before painting.

The replacement targa trim I have is a bit lumpy in places. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif)

The sills are straight, but have some PO overspray.

Same story on the blacked-out window gasket channels: sanding under the paint.

I then tried to torque the ball joint retainer rings. I used a floor jack to keep the socket from slipping, but still could not get the big torque required (25 map or 180 ft-lbs). Any suggestions?

And the wiper system, before cleaning off 50 year old grease.
