The mounting ears were bent out. I took the chance and bent them back in, which helped with the fit in the new pad. I also has to trim the corners in the pad recesses.

Step 1: pop off the rear sway bar links. A good use for the ol' ball joint fork.

To make clearance, I lowered the shock-spring assembly after unbolting the top mount.

With the trailing arm lowered, and the nut undone, the big bolt slides out.

I used 3M 8857 for a lot of rubber repairs and it seems to work well, except in extreme heat, and is sandable to make it nicer looking
