The metal plate in the drivers side inner door jamb there are 2 sets of numbers. The lower set of numbers is the paint code. What are the set of numbers above it. Is this the chassis number? I know it isn't the vin number?

Yes, that's the chassis number. There's a decoder posted here somewhere ...
