In trying to hone in on my L-Jet that has an uneven and low idle when cold but runs perfect at temp, I found this...
Off to the classifieds to post a WTB. On a side note, it is convenient as a manual AAV. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) Attached File(s) trim.81A4D97B_0B71_40A1_AC38_CD16355C9308.MOV ( 3.6mb ) Number of downloads: 126 |

I don't think you can attach a movie.
Maybe upload it to YouTube and link to it? |

I have found a couple that spin like that. I think the early ones might have been bonded in and have failed over time.

Was odd just to find it doing that. I probably wouldn’t have noticed it. But the connector wasn’t wanting to come off the AAV (and there isn’t much space in that area to begin with). Once I got the vacuum line off I pulled the AAV towards me a bit to give me room to get a hand in there to pull the connector and saw the whole connector spin.
I tested it when I put L-Jet back on the car back in 2016 or so. After some carb cleaner and a bunch of carbon coming out it opened and closed fine during testing (using 12V to warm it up). Didn’t think to check the connector. Or it was good at that point and has failed since. |
