This was fun crawling around the car. I wasn't going to open up the decklids and doors and all that, but there was someone there I was talking with and he was opening it all up - so I snapped as many pics as I could.

I only had 45 minutes to take pics. There was a few other cars that I wanted to check out but spent all my time with this one. My admission pass is good through Sunday so I will probably go back and poke around some more. Only 150 cars there.

Going to Gooding and RM tomorrow. Cars at Bonhams were actually pretty disappointing. Some really crappy 914's at B-J.

That 914-6 was at the Rare Shades event in September in LA- lot of interesting 914's there in celebration of 9/14... Jeff Qwart had his nice 914-6 there as well.

The engine shroud is interesting, the glass is roven, not uni-directional glass mat and it doesn't look as yellow as the aftermarket shrouds, the one pic it looks clear or gray resin.

That dizzy if OE is worth $10K alone, but it has a black cap so it could be aftermarket.
The intake manifolds look like they are 3 pieces.

Look like real 906 intake manifolds....soooo many cool parts on that car and it's period patina etc will make that price high to a collector.

Yes grey resin, so it is not a factory fiberglass part

Expanded metal engine grill (one piece) rather than pierced as on our cars.
Silver inside roll bar may be result of quickie fire repair.
Racemark wheel instead of more usual Prototipo.
Originally a Light Ivory car. The finest color. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Factory preferred.
906 intakes. Mmmmmm
Still has original (blue stripe ?) hoses to front oil cooler
Abbreviated front hood latch with just the safety, no pull type hood release..
Nice detail of hood pin corner pieces.
No latch at all or pins on rear lid !
Great pictures.
Thank you, Travis

Rear decklid had the rubber hold downs. And yes the front trunk had no pull release. Undo the pins and lift the hood, unlatch the catch.
