That is absolutely ridiculous. Obviously someone has so much money that $1 million dollars is nothing.
Its good to be the king. |

My boys rolled up on this car out at Holy Jim’s Canyon a month or so ago. I did not think anything about initially but my boys are always excited to see a 914 out and about.
I did not think it was a real GT either. Shows how much I know! They were obviously shooting the images seen in the spread. Very cool to see! |

Expanded metal engine grill (one piece) rather than pierced as on our cars. Silver inside roll bar may be result of quickie fire repair. Racemark wheel instead of more usual Prototipo. Originally a Light Ivory car. The finest color. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Factory preferred. 906 intakes. Mmmmmm Still has original (blue stripe ?) hoses to front oil cooler Abbreviated front hood latch with just the safety, no pull type hood release.. Nice detail of hood pin corner pieces. No latch at all or pins on rear lid ! Great pictures. Thank you, Travis the Real Wheel http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?sho...=289916&hl= This is the steering wheel that was installed in the car that won the 1971 24hr of Daytona back in 1971, my father removed the wheel after the end of the season and kept it all these years. This thread is a good read for more on Jacques Duval the original owner.
I thought this is a good bookend for this thread. http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?sho...172644&st=0 |

A rising tide raises all boats. False optimism and broken dreams always seem to follow statements like that. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) |

considering that brutus sold for 1million 78 with fees, and an m471 sold for 450. The price of a factory built GT with race history selling for a million is not so bad.
Just gives all of us an idea where rare 914s are headed That is absolutely ridiculous. Obviously someone has so much money that $1 million dollars is nothing. Its good to be the king. |
