First off, i dont have my camera with me so i cant post a photo. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/sad.gif)

Hopefully someone can answer easily (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smile.gif)

I have a set of Jake's modified rocker assemblies, swivel foot adjusting type, that i am installing on my 1.7L.

I pulled the first one, and compared them to find that the new modified assemblies have a solid spacer between the rockers instead of a spring like the originals.

The originals have a spring between the rockers that puts outward pressure on the rockers.

Question is....

is the solid spacer on the new rockers enough? the play is approx .040

I dont need to shim these do i?

thanks,
b.

you shouldn't need to shim... I believe that's the way they should be... those springs between the rockers aren't very strong, so they probably had more play than the spacer...
