Very cool footage, thanks for sharing. Sounds really nice even though he's not really pushing things too hard - looks like the roads had just been closed ahead of a rally stage (not after - all the straw bales are intact!).

911S engine , 7300 rpm red line
1st gear ? .... as Steve sayes its a 915....er 916
1st is straight forward.

It’s the 1972 one year only 915 shifter. I have the same shifter with my 916 trans. If you pause the video you can see the shift pattern on the shift knob. I read somewhere that it was a special 260hp drive train that Porsche built to offset the additional weight of the water and fire extinguisher equipment.
