Stole this topic out of a thread in the garage between @rhodyguy and @sixnotfour .
Anyone know details about the plans for Circuit of the Northwest track near Bremerton? I consulted with them years ago on the requirements for a good autocross site and am hoping that they are following through. Rumors occasionally circulate that we could loose the Bremerton site near the airport because the port authority is worried about the degrading asphalt. Found this article that indicates that construction was going to start at the end of last year. Circuit of the Northwest to Start Construction "...with construction expected to begin in the third quarter of 2020, Nilsen said. The timeline for construction depends on memberships, naming rights, private investors and technology partnerships, according to Godfrey. The goal is to get 100 members before construction begins and 300 by the time the facility opens. The projected opening is 2021." |
