Lawrence. Take advantage of it this year when it's so close.

Next year we start in St. Louis. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/shades.gif)

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/poke.gif) So you're saying you're volunteering to head up 2021, also. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Of course there will be event shirts this year. (It's a tradition.)
However, things will be a bit different this time. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif)

Shirts will be FREE! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/flag.gif)

The catch is that there will be only 10 shirts produced.
They will be awarded to the first 9 people to join the tour. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smilie_pokal.gif)
(Size request will be accepted to skew my order.) Red or Black.

When traveling across the country I use 40 and stop in Amarillo at Tyler's. He runs out of baby backs by 3 every day. He is one of the 2 places that I considered to make ribs better than mine. The Shed is better because they never run out of baby backs. Something I try not to do.

I've made reservations in Amarillo and Albuquerque. I'll head back to STL on Tuesday as I have an appointment on Thursday.

John-

I’m following this thread, but can’t commit to attending right now.
Time will tell.

My 2 yr old grandson remains in treatment battling Leukemia. (Cancer sucks!!!)
So I can’t stray too far.

Thanks for stepping up and heading RT66 this year. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

Betty read this thread the other day and mentioned it to me.

If we come, we get to drive to Amarillo first, 5 h 21 min (343 miles) . Then coming home, it is 17 h 30 min (1,150 miles) from Laughlin, NV. to our house. That makes for a long trip for two 914s without co-drivers. Got to take two days. And the 4.0 engine doesn't get the best mileage either.

Steve - Fabulous. I will see you in Colorado Springs for the Treffen. I sent you a PM with my phone number.

Oscar - Commitment?!? No one will ever question your commitment to the 914 community. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon22_2.gif) You also have your priorities in the proper order. Family first.
I sincerely hope you can join us. Even if only for a day.

Clay & Betty - Please join us in Amarillo. (When has a 914 event ever been closer?) You don't have to make the entire run, start to finish. (In fact, I never expected that anyone would be crazy enough to do the full distance with me.) I will promise you that the drive from Las Vegas to Albuquerque, above and around Santa Fe, will be the best 914 roads on the entire tour. (Not counting the short banzai run into Oatman.) We did a drive up to Winslow late last summer from Scottsdale with a small group and ate at the La Posada. Definitely recommended...

Will try and come up at least for the day from Winslow to Flagg- the 5th is my birthday so it can be a present to myself...Attached Image Attached Image

Hotels booked for 4th, 5th, and 6th. Probably drive to Phoenix area on the 3rd, then to Rio Rancho on the 4th. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)

I'm tentative ... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif)

I'd probably head up to my place in Payson for a couple days, then run up to Winslow on Tuesday, May 5th.

La Posada hotel. 928-289-4366. @$130.
Gourmet dinner on site.

Wednesday, May 6th. Flagstaff, Rt 66, William's, Ash Fork, Seligman, Kingman, OATMAN, Needles. Laughlin, Nevada.
Riverside Hotel & Casino. 800-227-3849. @$60.

(Reservations made) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/type.gif)
