this popped up on my local facebook - appears to be a 911T engine.
I'm tempted to buy it just to have for the future. What's the core value? can it be rebuilt to E or even S specs? https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/2674783612589753/ |

When I was on the hunt I bought the rear half of a beat 76 911 with a '69T engine for $3K, that got me a set of webers and four 15x6 fuchs and 50amp fan assembly. I made better than half my money back parting out the car.
Then I bought a 2.7 disassembled engine with lots of rebuild goodies and a 70amp fan assembly for $1200. I kept the gasket set (except for 2.7 only bits) sold the rest of the rebuild parts and the new(ish) dizzy for what I paid and I still have the longblock with a std/std crank. Then not wanting to blow my budget machining a mag case I settled on a 3.0 disassembled longblock and with it got a package deal on new 3.0 mahle "RSR style" 10.5:1 cr pistons for $2K (core) + 1200 (pistons)= $3200 With that I was at best |
