Hi Everyone,
I am looking for air line fittings that have the push button release to disconnect the tool that you plug into it. I have the old school type and it is getting difficult for me to get them to release. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/slits.gif) I have seen the push button type in professional shops and I would like to switch over to those. Where can I buy them?
Thanks in advance for your help,
Michael (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

Lowes and Northern Tool has them. I got mine on Amazon. Make sure you hold the tool before clicking button. My air blower flys if I don't.

Did you try the push button type? We have 1 in our shop and I don’t use it unless I have to because it’s a bitch to push the release button plus the tools fly off if your not hanging on to them.

Thanks for the link Bpic. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Hi Michael- Yeah, I have used them and you are correct, you definitely need to catch the tool or whatever you are ejecting from the line. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

I have a problem with my hand grip and I have been using these for years. I love them.

I don't understand the problem with the tool popping off. If you are trying to remove a standard fitting, you are holding onto the tool anyway.

I used the push button parts for my hard lines in the garage. They have a two-step release. the first releases the seal to let out the pressure. The second push releases the tool.

Very civilized.

So I received the push-button safety coupler for my air line and just love it! I ordered it from Northern Tool & Equipment in Fort Mill, SC, (800) 222-5381, cost me $13.99. It is a 2-stage push button. The first push releases the air pressure from the fitting and the 2nd push releases the tool from the coupler. So no accidental flying tools across the garage.

Hey, at least you now know they work and work well. What else you going to spend your money on? Women, booze.... we all know where that leads. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

Am I the only one that thinks he installed this in his Kitchen? What a great idea! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/poke.gif)

All kidding aside, my garage looks like a kitchen as well - my daughter says that mom has hers and Dad has his!

I am going to buy 3!

Thanks. Not the kitchen, but it is a nice garage. I wanted to be sure the Six would have a comfortable home. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif) Do you know how many of these I have in the shop (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif) And I hate the ones I have.

@cario94507 I do not want to get this thread banned. How good are they with the insertion of the tool into the coupler. That is what pisses me off about my current coupler.

914forme - Well, I had no issues inserting the "tool". To be fair, I took it to dinner and bought it a few drinks and talked nicely first. Seriously, push it in and it clicks into the first position and push it again and it clicks into the second position. Easy-peasy. Of course your experience may vary.
