The car is all steel 914/6 with the excepton of lids and bumpers. It has a substantial cage. I just ordered a lightweight battery ...around 4lbs and will ditch the optima red top. Including the battery tray I estimate this will get me 34lbs. I also ordered a lightweight starter I think this gets me 10lbs.

That leaves me 70lbs. I've thought about fiberglass doors...maybe.

Anyone have any other suggestions?

JMZ, is it a real 914-6...if not and is a later GT Tribute. Replace the doors to the early doors. These do not have the heavy crash bar in the doors, saves 20 lbs. per door. The 72 does not have the bar but does have the newer window regulator. Mepstein love your list. Best, Mark
