Went to buy some Seafoam and found this. Is it more expensive snake oil or something that works better than regular?

Same product, different label is my assumption.

Seafoam on its own is for older high mileage vehicles.

Fishing tackle is not designed to catch fish - its designed to catch fishermen.

I started using Seafoam regular due to many old posts about gas treatment brands, and this was a favorite....bringing this up to date, are there "new" gas / oil treatments and Are They Necessary??

I miss Capt’n Krusty’s saltyness! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

Every time I got into my auto parts stores and see K&N air filters, I think of him!

You can use it, but there are better fuel additives out there like Techron, Redline, and Gumout, but I would never mix in with the oil.

As a builder I say snake oil, YMMV and just IMHO. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

There are a couple of exceptions, like if you're a dirt bag lots of STP can hide a rod knock. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

I used to use it on my mazda protege ...
Mix in with or add to oil about 100 miles before i did a oil change( run it at pretty high rpm in that 100 mi)
Then change oil. Supposed to clean out or break up more deposits that way ?

Never hurt the mazda ... Not sure if it belp either (IMG:style_emoticons/default/bye1.gif)
