I am about to weld in the new floor cross brace and would like to get this in the right place! I have my measurements from the old, rusty floor but would like to confirm. Can someone please get a measurement between the firewall and the rear surface of the cross brace (back to front)?

Thanks very much, gents. Looks like you both measure just a bit more than 18-1/4". That's what I have recorded, and will use that.
