The Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles is now offering a livestream of their vault tours. For those of you that have not had the opportunity to experinece a Live Vault Tour, this is the next best thing.

Official Announcement

"We can now extend the stories of our collection to a global audience and give our patrons, you, more access to the cars than ever before! Led by our Collection Manager, Dana Williamson, you will get to see things no tour has before, going under the hoods and even inside some of the vehicles! In addition to this, Michael will take you to areas of the vault that are typically restricted to the public.

The 60-70 minute tour will cover the gems of the Vault and we will have staff working to field all comments during the tour. If we don’t get to your comment or cover a particular vehicle, we will respond to all questions after the tour ends. The tours are live, so please make sure to comment if you have questions and we’ll try our best to get to them.

Your $3 (86% discount on in-person tour), allows us to continue to maintain the collection and support our staff and digital programs during this unfortunate time. We greatly appreciate your support and thank you for being with us during this time."

I really enjoyed our Vault Tour about a year ago during the Porsche Experience , and checking out Brutus 916 (at about 10') behind a No-Access rope. The museum guide gave us the scoop on Brutus having a secret prototype Porsche v8 air-cool engine...that we were not allowed to peep at.
You couldn't have scripted the way this guy babbled on.
He was the funniest thing to experience (yes he was serious) and our amused group consisted of MattyLite, Mike and Renee (former #40 owners), and myself.
Lucky for us the cars on all of the floors of the Petersen really make the (self) tour awesome !
