Just dont get this desire to cut up 914's to make a poor imiation of a real EV that has more power and more reliability.

To each his own!

Maybe it's my age, (being a purist), I just don't get it. No exhaust note, the sound of a turbo, smell of gasoline. Not having those things is like cutting off my balls.

Having said that, a performance hybrid would be the way to go, but the development cost would be staggering. Think about it a new 914 hybrid with a functioning rear spoiler and KERS. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/aktion035.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) Heavy little car, but loads of fun.

Yesterday I was out in the 4S and a Tesla M3 was trying to drag race me. In town...as if I was going to be stupid enough to take the bait.
Usually it's just guys in pickup trucks. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

I don’t get it either. I would rather buy a model 3 then trash a 914, that will be lucky to get 60 miles to a charge.
A model 3 is supposed to get around 300 miles to a charge with all creature comforts. My coworkers say they get around 260-280 in actual freeway driving. I would like to see someone get that out of an EV914.

450 to 640 HP might be overkill in a 914 or not.
