I think I ticked off the Haulmark trailer person discussing price.

I found this that looks interesting. Looks like the company is shut down. Trailer is a bit bigger which is good. Looks like an interesting tub frame and the pics make it look like it is in great shape. Newer tires and brakes/bearings were serviced a year back.

I can't find much information about the company or if their trailers were any good so I thought I'd ask on this Forum.

Looks nice. There will be a lot of "toys" for sale over the next months/year, so don't worry too much about ticking of a seller when you haggle price.

It does look like a nice unit though. How's pricing compare to more traditional trailers?

I like the looks, less boxy. He is asking $6,000 which is a bit much for an older trailer. How would you add E track, etc. to the walls. Screw up some plywood?

I offered the Haulmark lady $4,750 for something she was asking $6,500 for and she went from responsive to no contact. I told her I didn't want to piss her off or low ball her but it is an over 20 year old trailer. This Mighty Mover is 10 years newer and looks like it has been cared for better.

For the walls you'd attach it to the vertical square steel tubing.

I'd agree that $6k is a strong price. For that you can probably get a decent new one, not a Haulmark or big name, but there's a bunch of trailer manufacturers

MM has been around for a long time building quality trailers. I learned of them in the mid 80's. There in Carona, Ca. That being said 6K is the price for a new trailer. I can get a new 18' enclosed for under $4K in GA . But it's not as nice as a MM.

Mighty Movers was in Carona when I looking for a trailer for offroading toys and they made the best frame and looking at the pics it perty obvious that they did. To bad they are going out of busseness. I could use another trailer.

The MM trailer looks nice. Also a bit lighter duty and possibly lighter than standard steel trailers like Haulmark. Lighter trailers seem to cost more. Not sure I'd be able to justify the cost, but it can be important depending on what you're towing with. My sister and brother in law tow their Cayman with a Trailex enclosed ($$) behind a VW Touareg and it does fine. No way I'd be comfortable towing a regular 20' steel enclosed trailer behind a mid-size SUV.

Thanks for the information. I tend to be drawn to less standard things and therefore I thought this trailer was interesting, but at that price it doesn't make sense. My tow rig is a big diesel truck so towing a heavier trailer is not a problem. There is an almost brand new Continental Cargo 10k 20 footer relatively close to me. Guy bought it in May and has it advertised for $7k. I'm thinking about offering him $6.5k and see what he says. My wife likes the color much better and given it will sit behind our house, her request for black or gray makes sense. My shop is a dark gray.

That one looks nice...especially if it's newer..
Difference between 6.5 & 7k is chump change...if you like it, buy it.

Funny you mention Continental Cargo. I bought a 2019 28’ Continental Cargo to replace my Haulmark. (Still have both). While the CC has more bells and whistles. I feel the Haulmark is of a “little bit” better quality.

In truth... at the end of the day... they are enclosed boxes with wheels.

You really have to spend mucho more $$$ to drastically jump in quality.

Don’t be afraid to buy the CC. It works fine.

I ended up finding a basically new 20 ft. 2019 Cargo Mate outfitted as a car hauler with upgraded heavy duty axles, escape hatch, fully finished interior. Basically all of the upgrades. The owner used it for a 500 mile haul and then parked it. He threw in a new in the box weight distribution set up, strap set, spare set up. Not a killer deal at $7k but I felt it was fair. Will be adding a winch, covering the floor and adding some storage, etc.
Towed great on the trip home.

I looked at 28' box but it didn't give me enough room for a bench and to tie down.
