Was going to get the cradle and other parts from these guys to install the motor but they never reply to emails and nobody answers the phone. But gives an idea of how the engine would go in.

You have to stop posting extra pics, it will make someone buy the car... That is not acceptable. I always said you are the perfect next owner. Close to home so I can see it completed. I had one message asking me how much to complete. I should send him your contact details and maybe he will buy it and hire you to finish it. The Canadian Peso is almost worthless now so should be a bargain for him. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) I could finish it for someone, but there would be a high probability i wouldn't let it go (IMG:style_emoticons/default/evilgrin.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lol-2.gif) |

Sad to see it go! Wish I had the money and space!!
You wouldn't entertain a pristine early 944 as trade would you? I know someone who could be looking for a new project very soon as he's just finishing the 944... |

Is this in CAD or USD?
Also, the reason you havent heard from ColdWater (Ian) is that he's no longer making parts despite his website still being up. It's definitely a little frustrating for those of us doing a Subi swap. I made the same assumption/mistake. Some others are trying to step in and fill the gap of a lack of engine cradle ( @Chi-Town ) but nothing completed yet. Looks like a great candidate for the build! |

I quote in USD here as most people interested are from the US. I thought I put that in the description but if not I apologize for any confusion. I have sold some of the parts but the heart of the conversion are still available. I think it would make a cool car when done. I hate to let it go but after over 15 years with no progress I have to be a realist. Just too many things on the go.

Thanks for the update on coldwater. Too bad they stopped as the pictures of the cradle and mounting kits looked great. Probably explains why there aren’t a lot of threads with people showing how well they fit.

Had some inquiries but so far no money crossing the table. So I am lowering the ask price to $7000 USD for the rolling chassis. Let me know if you have any questions. Someone is going to get a heck of a deal. Cheers!

Any idea how to get in shipped to Misssouriand what it might cost? No idea on shipping costs. I shipped a car from Colorado for around $2500. But that was a Ferrari and on a higher end transport truck. It also ran whereas this will need someone with a power lift gate and who is willing to push it on |

Had some inquiries but no takers so far. Some are concerned about transport. If it helps I have an enclosed trailer and only live a couple hours from the US Border. I would be willing to transport it to Montana - Sweetgrass or Cutbank - if you had a US carrier that would pick it up there. I have bought cars from the US and brought them into Canada by meeting a transport there and had no issues. Customs paperwork not included of course.

I need to vacuum the trunk and interior floor - a little dirty over the last few years of storage. Here are some interior shot. I consider the roll cage to be crude at best and planned to replace it. The car had it when I bought it. Maybe it was put in to stiffen the chassis while installing the body kit? I can't imagine it would be legal for any serious racing series:

To answer questions about the hole cut in the firewall, when I got the car it had a mounting kit for a Porsche flat six that was welded onto the firewall. We had to cut that off. On top of that the first engine I was going to use - a 3 rotor rotary - needed clearance for the engine pulley so my friends cut the firewall. I still have the cut out piece if anyone wishes to weld it back in.

As requested more pictures of the front trunk. The holes in the floor were for a ducted oil cooler that was mounted there. I still have the cooler and the duct work. I removed to fit the radiator as I planned on using a water cooled engine.
