Thanks Ian, best video to date.... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/first.gif) Its that 4 year wait time that’s a killer plus the year plus build process. Great work if you have the time.
This questions for Ben.....What’s your thoughts on his 40 plus HP gain by adding larger tubing to reduce exhaust restriction ??? |

Thanks Ian, best video to date.... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/first.gif) Its that 4 year wait time that’s a killer plus the year plus build process. Great work if you have the time. This questions for Ben.....What’s your thoughts on his 40 plus HP gain by adding larger tubing to to reduce exhaust restriction ??? Great question .. So a couple thoughts.. The theory is that there is 40hp gain from lets say a stock 3.2 engine with stock 914-6 heat exchangers versus lets just say msds 1.625 headers? With nothing else done to increase the efficiency of the air pump? I would agree that the choke point is the collector and the best option would be to increase the diameter of the collector and use a reverse cone f1 merge.. I could definitely do that however this is not typical hp gain of a stock engine.. I could really deep dive into this but not going to as I appreciate PMB and everyones involvement. |
