Jimbo would have been 92 today. Just finished the episode where he featured Lawyer Beth Davenport's 914. Because he owned the production company that produced the show, he handpicked every car that appeared. Happy birthday Mr. Garner.Attached Image

h b J G.

my dad's favourite tv show.
we are talking sitting in country australia in the mid 1970s.
my mother would allow me to sit up late and watch it, only because my father was there.
the yank tanks were exotic compared to aussie cars.
the mysterious 914 was mesmerising. i knew what they were even as a teenager - the only appearance they could make in australia was via jim rockford.
J G / J R had taste in spades when it came to cars, and living arrangements.
i wanted to live in a caravan in car park next to a restaurant when i grew up.

think i suffered imprinting on my brain circuits that manifested 15 years after that.

big, graffiti paint job, no name brand, with the wheels off.
everyone in the street thinks it is a factory but i know its not. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)
really its on blocks on the edge of the supermarket staff carpark.
got a thai restaurant on the other side of the carpark.
pulled up short on beach front location and settled for ghetto.
too many white pointers for paddling in the surf these days.
but i got the LA power poles and electrical wires everywhere (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
