I have an aftermarket center console that is very true to the original design but the shift boot leatherette seam is facing towards the front of the car and while I no longer have my original to compare it to, it seems wrong to me. Before I put it back in it looks to be very easy to reverse so my question to the brain trust is this, seam facing forward or rearward?

Thanks in advance.
