URO Parts has been offering its gorgeous reproduction License Plate Light 914 631 601 00 since 2015, and has received nothing but stellar feedback. Aside from omitting trademarked logos and marks, these brand-new light assemblies have the same dimensions and appearance as OE, and are essential for a proper restoration. They're available from Porsche specialists such as:

Sierra Madre Collection in Southern California
https://sierramadrecollection.com/License-P...-76-p26832.html

Auto Atlanta in Marietta, GA
http://www.autoatlanta.com/Porsche-Auatl-L...1463160100.html

These look great - but the big question: which way should they be oriented when installed? Small arcs close to the bumper or away from?!

^ Good question Brian, the "rainbow" in the lens should be toward the license plate.

Be careful when connecting the wiring to the lights; the positive wire goes to the copper tab and the ground wire goes to the silver tab. If you accidentally connect the positive wire to the sliver tab, you'll create a direct short to ground, which will cook the full length of the positive wire. Many thanks to George at AA for the reminder to not mix up the wires.
