Hi All - I'm trying to install the rear trunk lid locking mechanism. I believe I have thinks lined-up properly; yet I cannot get the spring mechanism to engage the lock. I've removed the rubber bumpers to allow maximum travel but still no luck.

Any insights would be great - thanks!

I pulled mine from the deck lid, to check the it would latch and more importantly released. I'm a bit paranoid about locks I can't access form the other side.

After I confirmed it could latch and release I bolted it back on to the deck-lid.

I had the adjust the height of the latch more than I expected to get it to close right.

Have you got the male part attached to the lid the wrong way around? Easy to do - I know.
The notch on the male part should be facing towards the front of the car.
