This is a great illustration of an early seat rail on the left as compared to the late one on the right. Aside from the straight, seat height adjustment bar, the early rails had round holes toward the bottom of the rail. The late one had oval holes. The early adjustment bar had a rounded knob and the later rail had an oblong knob. In addition, the early rails had smaller diameter square holes along the rail, and the late rail had larger diameter square holes. More mundane 914 differences.

Have you tried to install the rails on the frames? Curious if they will bind because of the paint.

These were extra parts provided by the PO. Current seats are aftermarket with fabricated seat brackets.

Driver side - Sold pending payment

Passenger side - still available
