Actually it's far easier and certainly more accurate to remove the distributor to adjust the points and therby the dwell. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) I take a yellow paint marker and use it to mark where the rotor is pointing. The I take the distributor out. I change the points, and borrow a distributor machine to check the advance and set the dwell. Then I reinstall the distributor with the rotor pointing to the yellow mark. Connect the low voltage wiring, install the distributor cap, and fire it up. Set the timing and then (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) |
