I thought folks might like a few photos of a factory roof ski rack. I've seen the bumper mount versions, but not this style. Not that my car will see snow, but I think I might duplicate it to have one.

Not factory AFAIK. They were all aftermarket.

The German Karo rack is the "official" catalogue rack.

Look it up.

The person who owns this own is an original six owner and said it's original. It's the same as in this Porsche ad https://rennlist.com/forums/914-914-6-forum...ki-rack-fs.html. I'll confirm that they bought it at the dealership way back in 71 or 72.

I don’t have any evidence, but the rack doesn’t look very
typical Porsche/German.
