Move the pump (1973 2.0) from the stock location to the front? If so, cut an access hole like later years?
Can somebody please send a photo of the frunk rear wall, taken straight on, so I can get some dimensions for the hole? |

I put a CB pump up front under the tank, with the filter mounted by the steering rack. DD like this for 3 years without problems. I do want to add the plate and hole to avoid pulling the tank if the pump fails. (You never know.)
I handled my pump wiring with a module from Revolution Electronics. https://www.revolutionelectronics.com/Produ.../Fuel_Pump.html I found it easier to wire the pump from the fuse panel, and I like the 3 second prime and the safety shut off. (No ign signal, no pump.) If the module fails, you short the purple wires together and drive home. |
