In my all original’73, I found wires running into each seat bottom. Seat belt sensors ? Heated seats ? They were already disconnected. What are they ?

For a 73, those are for the seatbelt warning system. Should be passenger seat only. Its just a simple on off switch in the seat that detects a passenger or weight on the seat cushion.
