Hi, everyone. I am a volunteer/part time professor at Fort Lewis College. Officially, dorms will be open in the fall. I don't know if the college has talked with hotel owners as a backup plan, or if parents are booking rooms on their own. In any case, most students live off campus anyway.

I just confirmed with the GM that ALL reservations are being canceled thru early December. I made a reservation at the Hampton and there are only 3 rooms left!

Yes, it’s true. Working on an alt hotel but as originally advertised, this is an off the cuff event. Regardless where everyone stays I’ll be happy to see you!!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/drunk.gif)

New hotel info on Post #1 and here is the t-shirt link!
(IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer3.gif)

New motel is Caboose Motel, 3363 Main Ave, Durango, CO 81301, 970-946-2518 ask for Maureen (if she doesn't answer, leave a message for Porsche 914 group and she'll call back). But PLEASE stay wherever you are comfortable. The COVID is a wily beast throwing wrenches in our plans.

Mike and I just stayed in Buena Vista for a long weekend. There are a lot of mask rules (rightly so), restaurants had long lines, some were still closed, and I DO NOT want me, Mike, or any of you to catch the Rona, so we're playing stuff by ear. Drives, no problemo. Meals, TBD still, likely to be a "do what you want" situation so we're not all involved in a sneezing on each other and everyone's pizza catastrophe. (insert sneeze emoji) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/drooley.gif) Parking lot shenanigans, a 6'+ definite.

Shame this is at the end of my vacation out there. We are towing a camper out to Salida on the 4th and staying around that area for about 7 days. I lived in Durango for a while. Neat town, ya'll are definitely going to have fun. Make sure there are plenty of drives up to Silverton and beyond.
