This has been discussed but I can't seem to put my finger on the answer.

I love Les Schwab but they don't seem to speak my language on this one.

Looking for a street/performance tire.

I proposed 245/45's and 225/50's or something similar to the counter help at Les. They only option they gave me was a mismatching set?!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/WTF.gif)

What tires are you using for 16,8,9? Going under flares of course.

TIA

You're actually in a good spot with availability on the 245/45s. For a while, it was RA-1 or Fuzions only.

Looks like you've got six matching sets to choose from right now:

From the current offerings, the Advans are looking pretty good...

Just bought a set of the Yokohama Advan A-052'S for my spare set of black wheels. Haven't tried them out yet so no feedback just yet. There are also a couple of Pirelli offerings in the right sizes but I have had good Yokohama experience so I went with those.

The other stack are their A008-P's but they don't have 225's for your 8's with those, mine are 7/9's.

So great to see the Yokohama A-008P back out in two Porsche sizes. Too cool, and nice score. If they add the 195/65R15 and 215/60R15 sizing (OE for 944s and some 911s), I know what will be replacing my Avons...

195/65R15 A-008P would be a near-perfect street tire for performance narrow-body 914s.

I would actually leave sevens on the front for turn in, do not need eights, along with a 205 in the front. The rear track as wide as you want. on a nine 245 on an eight 225

I've only driven on the 008P's so far but they feel amazing, the A-052's have a cool tread pattern and if anything like the 008's you're going to love them. Quiet, smooth, predictable and very grippy. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)

Submitted a request on Yokohama's website to add three popular Porsche sizes to its new A-008P offerings:

225/50R16
195/65R15
215/60R15

Add those three to the existing 205/55R16 and 245/45R16 and the number of Porsches on 15- and 16-inch wheels that would cover, from MY 1954 to MY 2004 is staggering. 356 (hot rodded with 195/65s, but still...), 911, 912, 914, 924, 944, 928, 964, 993, and 986. Basically, everything that didn't come on 14s or 17s.
