I am rebuilding my 2.0 motor. It has Mahle euro big bore pistons on it. The piston rings need to be replaced on one of the pistons. Which brand do you recomend.

What size are the pistons?
Never heard of "Mahle euro big bore pistons", but Mahle euro pistons are 2.0 stock size (94mm) with flat top pistons. The flat tops give a bump in CR. Bigger than stock bore pistons are 96mm up. For Mahle I'd go with Goetze, but I've had good results with Deves and even Grants (long ago), I just don't like the Grants oil control rails. You have to measure the rings as they came in a couple different sizes. Measure the piston diameter as well. |
