Hi All, I'm interested in having my steering wheel wrapped in leather. Can anyone share experiences, likes and dislikes, costs, etc?

Also, if anyone has a recommendation for an upholstery shop in SoCal, I'de very much appreciate it. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)

If you are in San Diego, use these guys...

https://www.autobahninteriors.com/

Have not seen their work on wheel wraps, but they are a quality shop and have make beautiful carpet kits.

There are good shops in LA too, but shop local!

I decided to do it myself and found it to be an impossible task (for me). I handed the project to my talented wife (IMG:style_emoticons/default/pray.gif) and she did a fantastic job. It was a couple of years ago and the kit was about $50‐75.

I got her to cover 2 more and sold them. She vows to never touch another steering wheel unless she's driving.

Another vote for Dallas Custom...one note - they do not repaint your spokes and if you want that done, do it before you send it off....

@RiqueMar

I can bead blast and restore your spokes prior to leather wrap.
