Generally I HATE carburation but have to deal with it on 356s and early 911s and 914-6 models, and do successfully, when factory equipped and the carbs are clean and not too badly worn, they work well. The worst thing is trying to start a carbed car after sitting awhile. The lean back fire always scares me
