Feeling the need to get out and drive? Missing that interaction with other teeners? Mark your calendars for September 24-27, 2020 and join other 914 owners for some fantastic driving in beautiful east Tennessee.

This fall, head to the mountains of east Tennessee to celebrate 50 years of the Porsche 914 in America. The drive will be based in “action packed” Pigeon Forge, TN – home to Dollywood, outlet shopping, music theaters, moonshine distilleries, mini golf and go-karts! What more could you ask for?

Roads? You’re asking for roads? Well, then… how does close proximity to some of the best roads in the southeast – Foothills Parkway (including The Missing Link), The Dragon, Moonshiner 28, Cherohala Skyway, Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Blue Ridge Parkway – sound?

FRIDAY DRIVE: We’ll enter the newest section of Foothills Parkway in Wears Valley and travel west to US129 / The Dragon. From there, the drive takes us into North Carolina along Moonshiner 28. Photo op at Fontana Dam and then break for lunch and free drive afterwards. Hit The Dragon multiple times or take the scenic Cherohala Skyway.

SATURDAY DRIVE: A day of leisurely scenic driving in Great Smoky Mountains National Park and a portion of Blue Ridge Parkway. Lunch in Maggie Valley and then return the way we came. Plenty of pullouts to enjoy the scenic beauty of the Smokies.

Feel free to join us for the entire weekend or meet up with us for one of the drives. The main goal of this event is to bring 914 enthusiasts together to enjoy driving mountain roads. And with Pigeon Forge as the base of operations, there is plenty to do while not driving.

OK, so I've been told I've been noticeably absent from this thread and event. Even being accused of hiding in my basement not seeing the rest of the world.... lol.

So to the person that shall remain nameless...no, we are NOT alike in hiding from the world!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/poke.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lol3.gif)

Methinks Thou Doth Protest Too Much. (A variation on a line from Shakespeare's “Hamlet”)

As the nameless person in your post, I have to say it worked. You finally emerged from the basement and posted. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/poke.gif)

I am glad to hear you are staying busy. Sorry we are going to miss you at Teenerpalooza. We will post pictures, so you can view them from the basement. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lol3.gif)

FYI... I can't hide in the basement, they don't put them in houses in Texas. But I will admit to spending a lot of time in the garage. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smash.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/welder.gif)

sorry we will not get to see you guys this year!, well good thing its not an official Okteenerfest, so your perfect record for attendance to Okteenerfest may still be in place. well we may have to vote on that, or atleast there will be an asterisk ** in the official record book (IMG:style_emoticons/default/poke.gif) , i guess that may leave just a few of us that have made and driven our car at all the Okteenerfests........ Hope to see you next year!!!!

Good luck at the races,

Phil

Please give Nadine our condolences? And we hope your Dad is doing ok now?

We're just happy you're getting to race and doing the business thing!!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cheer.gif)

We're going to miss you guys soooo freaking much, but life does happen. If even the tiniest hole opens up in the schedule, you know where to find us that weekend! How about posting some video of Summit Point? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smilie_pokal.gif) That many 914's in a club race?!?! - it' s going to look just like racing did back when 914's were new.

The scenery should be phenomenal - a "leaf watching" map I saw predicts the leaves in the Smokies to be near peak the weekend of Teenerpalüza.

Being east Tennessee, this WILL change (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

Might want to make sure your heat system is working. Mornings are bound to be chilly (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

That's unfortunate, but on the bright side, it's one way to keep you car looking good until the car show next year. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Hope you feel better soon.

well that’s true, and also why i was doing clear bra Xpel treatment to the front, and i am considering doing that on the rear quarters and doors too.
hope you keep that beauty as is and see you next year. i have been touching some stuff up and cleaned up a few things that i couldn’t afford to do 2 years ago... if you can believe it, it’s actually improved from last year, it since we are in the custom class, i plan on adding some tasteful dealer offered type options like ski rack etc!. just added this.....

Looks like BETA has changed the forecast a bit...

So in addition to having your Heat system in order, You will want to be sure that you Wipers work also.

Looks like Clay will be suffering this weather for most of his drive up...
