@Medtner3

To do have a gas tank that mounts the canister to it? They change in 74.
74 has unique strap that mounts the canister on a stud in the back of the engine bay. In 75 they moved it again and it has a different strap

My car is a 74 2.0l not sure about the mounting I have replaced gas tank, I could probably figure out how to mount either front or engine bay I did not know that there were plastic ones I would need a steel one for 74-76 would work

I also have a 74 2.0l. Look for an indented flat surface and the stud at the front of the inside of the trunk, about six inches left of the right side hinge. If you have it, use it as it is a very tidy mounting point. The front trunk bulkhead is actually different on the 1974 models.
