And there you have it. Free Market Value of a 914/6 VIN. Next step, rebuild the rest of the car around the VIN. |

Next step, rebuild the rest of the car around the VIN. That is an incorrect statement! That car only needs quarter panels and fenders, not even close to building a car around a VIN. I'm a 914/6 lover and previously posted that I wish I could be the one to save it. However, It needs far more than quarter panels before it will be in the hunt for that $100k 914/6 pricetag. Even with all the work, the final value will be highly dependent on the quality of the restoration and underlying workmanship. As the Doc stated, it's not quite as simple as lifting some panels off a ratted out /4 and returning it to stock. I do agree it's not as bad as the other flamed out wreck that has been offered in the past and is a good value to someone, especially if they can do the metalwork, paint, engine, trans, and electrical all in their own shop. Someday I'll wish it had been the right time for me to step up. Unfortunately my hands and garage are already busy with trying to save a /4 that should have been scrapped. |
