I just picked up an L83 long block on the very cheap, and was wondering if anyone else had started with this base?
It's basically a Gen V LSX, aluminum block and heads, with the LT intake pattern. It will require the DOD and AFM delete, and a new cam. I have an Atomic LS EFI system the can off run the 58 pin crank. The performance parts appear to be cheaper than the parts for LS Gen III's - The technology is 2 generations newer, and the block is 14 years newer, and about 80 pounds lighter than what I previous had. |
