So the set up is:
Low miles 2056 running L-Jet
Blue coil with points, no ballast resistor or wire
Timing checked
Point gap set so the dwell should be close
AFR meter on board
Typical AFR during cruise is 11.5 to 12.5

The fault is:
As I approach 4000 RPM the AFR spikes to 18 and will not accelerate (lean misfire)

I swapped the ECU with a spare and there was no difference.
The engine was running fine prior.

It seems like the ECU is not getting a clean tach pulse so the fuel may not be scheduled correctly. I suspect the coil or the point capacitor.

Any other possibilities? Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Ray
