I took this photo a couple days ago. Interesting visual side by side. Shows how low and wide the 914 is.

I few years back I noticed something kind amusing about the 911's
There was a side by side marketing picture that they took from the rear of the new 2016 model, so I decided to overlay the old one on top of the new one to see the difference in size.

Then as I looked closer I realized the biggest difference.

They made the 911 wide!

I love the side by side shot with the 917 next to a 914. So tiny!

There is a Carrera 3.0 motor in that 914?

Literally LOL.

The two rear wheels from the lastest 911 Turbo side by side are nearly the width of the early 911s.

The 2016 911 is only 9.5 inches wider than the 64 911. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/shades.gif)

My stable a couple of years ago. When the offer came for the 914 it was hard to refuse.

Not a lot of regrets with with the 987 S though. The 914 was joyful and a novelty. The 987 above 4k make one absolutly giddy.

I.ll never go to the dark side......although I was eyeballing a 992 pretry hard at the Covid compliant PCA CC last weekend.
