Hood will not lock down when closed. The cable seem functional. The hood goes as the way down. Lubrication is not a problem. Looks like a little wear on the latch in the slot/grove.
I don't really see an adjustment but maybe there is. It was hard to lock before this but a firm hand and correct finger placement on the edge of the front hood worked fine. I certainly don't want to lock it shut forever either. Would appreciate some help and ideas.

This is a low milege '74 914 that has never seen a lot of wear or body work. Very clean car so I wonder what is up.

Is the pull cable sticky. try and push the "T" handle in and then retry the hood. Both teeners I have had seem to do this every once in awhile.

If pushing the handle doesn't work you can adjust the piece on the body (not the hood) to fit better. Has it closed in the past?
