Curious if anyone has a spec sheet on the 1970 914-6GT Le Mans? I found stuff on Wikipedia but I was just trying to get a more detailed spec sheet.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Porsche_914-6_GT

You see enthusiast with all these crazy structural changes to the 914 body, just wondering if it’s really necessary. If I’m going to change my 914 to the GT spec I want it to be period correct as it was done in 1970.

For anyone that hasn't seen it in person, its stunning. Great presence, exciting color, and the sound.... oh, the sound. Love the exhaust note. Been contemplating for years changing out my sport muffler to this set up.

Yes. Or very near to it. Came in a press packet from the factory in’71. I’ve got it in Dropbox. Try this.

And a pic

If the links don’t work I can try from a computer rather than phone.

I've heard of people putting built 3.2s into them. That kind of power will expose other weaknesses, so get ready for suspension and brake upgrades as well. The 901 / 914 trans can only handle so much hp too. Hello slippery slope..

I’m running a 3.2 in my build. Awesome motor. I’m also running a 915/916 trans. Check out my blog in my signature below for build information.

every "GT" was a one-off car built to the specs of the intended use & the driver

there is no "standard spec sheet"

iirc there were at least 3 engine versions - depending on the competition venue intent

what do exist are the FIA Homologation specs
http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showtopic=321849

> (Competition) Spare Parts List, 914/6 March 1970 Porsche Nr. 6024.14,

and > Information Regarding Porsche Vehicles Used for Sports Purposes 1st edition (german )

and > Info. . . . . Sports Purposes 2nd edition to 1972_english (.pdf) 4890.20-200-03-72

i believe i posted links to those long ago - or just google 'em

AND then there are at least a dozen books, each with some tidbits of 'originality" unseen in any other publication (all of which i acquired over the yrs)

finally - spend some hours here http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showforum=44
