One of our rocket scientists F'D up big time and I am on the F. UP investigation team at work. So instead of going to Joes and Having a good time with good folks I get to go listen to why some one would do this. Seen that a lot....you have to have a special license to drive at airports. Sometimes people forget that trucks are taller than they look.
THAT JET, is gonna be grounded for a LONG time....it's not like ya send it to Joe Bob's Collision and Repair......BIG BUCKS are gonna be spent. |

Dunno,
Since airlines are economizing on plane maintainance, they might just try duct tape....... (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/blink.gif) Ken |

Not any more. You just have to have a SIDA badge and any jerk can drive anyplace (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wacko.gif) Anyone you see out the window would have that badge for the airport you are at. Jump on a tug and go. This wasnt the trucks fault he was where he was suposed to be. |

I don't work on commercial aircraft, but I don't believe that area is pressurized, which is a VERY GOOD THING when it comes to doing the repairs. Looks like the driver had an acute case of cranal-rectal inversion. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/slap.gif)

I will not make it back in to Texas in time (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wink.gif) The blue part that is crunched is just the APU door no big deal just hang on a new door. What screws us to our knees is this one. It is the out flow valve. This is what controlls presureization. The holes in the skin dont help either. But we have some good tin men and it will be flying in a week or so (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/welder.gif) Attached image(s) |

Well that's your problem! Get those scientists out of the planes and trucks and get the appropriate people operating that equipment. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/cool.gif) -Tony |

I've come very close to being hit by ground service and fuel trucks on three occasions. Chicago, Phoenix and Dallas. I guess a 747 is just damn hard to see when it's on the ground.
