Guys and Gals
It has come a time for me to evaluate and grow the business. I have decided to close out my quiet technology mufflers. They are fantastic mufflers but very expensive to sit on parts/components in preparation to sell a completed muffler based off of my build to order business model. I am going to make a run of them based off of sales over the next 2 weeks and then they will become NLA. Please note I will still have plenty of options as I have new 914-6 heat exchangers,1.7 ,2.0 914-6 mufflers all available along with all my other products.. So here is how this will shake out 914-6 quiet muffler $550 (stock tail pipe) 914 2.0 quiet muffler $600(stock tail pipe) Payment can be made by check or paypal with you paying fees. Shipping is typically $40-$45 GT style bracket, hardware, and gaskets will be $60 with purchase of mufflers. Please note that the picture is for showing some of my products. This offer is for stock outlet only Thanks for all of your support.. This has been a challenging year for everyone and I have never forgotten all the support I have received from all of the people in the 914 community |

For myself, I initially thought that the longer exchangers (compared to 911) combined with the rotational force of the engine might be hard on the exchangers and muffler welds w/o the added stability of the original hangar. But I suppose the whole mass (engine/trans/exchangers/muffler) rotate the same amount on acceleration/decel. If the muffler is mounted with only a GT style bracket on the GT and rally cars it must not be a concern.

In reality, I think the exchangers are really supported by the muffler even with the original hanger. The muffler and HEs are bolted together as a solid unit so I don't think which hanger you use changes the forces on the HEs much. Like Ben said, with the original hanger, the weight of the muffler is cantilevered behind the hanger support point which will put strain on the inlets. |
