Hi all
I recently drove my 74 Porsche 914 2.0 on a hot day and the car would not start after driving. I thought maybe vapor Lock. Drove it yesterday and it was 78degrees and the same thing happened. Normally drives amazing. After driving, stalled at the traffic light. Then would just turn over but no start. Do you think it’s vapor lock? After 15min it started up and I was on my way Thanks for the advice |

That does sound like the typical symptoms of vapor lock.
Hook a fuel pressure gauge to it and verify it is loosing fuel pressure when the problem happens. The fix is to move the pump up front. If you do move it, then replace the fuel lines with a set of the stainless steel Tangerine lines. The old plastic lines have been known to fail and cause engine fires. |
